EyeWorld Asia-Pacific Serving the Asian and Indian ophthalmic anterior segment surgeon in cataract & refractive surgery The Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (APACRS), the Korean Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, and the Chinese Ophthalmological Society (COS), in association with the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the cooperation of the All-India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), are pleased to present EyeWorld Asia-Pacific. As the news and feature magazine of APACRS, KSCRS, and COS, EyeWorld Asia-Pacific serves as the premier print and online publication for anterior segment surgeons in the Asia-Pacific region. Rapid changes are taking place throughout the world in ophthalmology, and the Asia-Pacific region is a center for dynamic research and studies that may alter the standards of care. The region is in a state of constant change, and EyeWorld's close affiliation with academic societies throughout the region enables it to select those areas of greatest interest and report back to its readers in a timely fashion. EyeWorld Asia-Pacific is published in English, Korean, and Chinese. Professor Graham Barrett, president of APACRS, serves as the chief medical editor, while Professors Zhao Jialiang, Zhao Kan Xing, He Shouzhi, and Zhouqi are the editors of the Chinese publication. The Chinese edition also serves as the news journal of COS. The managing editor for India is S. Natajaran, and the managing editors for Korea are Professors Hungwon Tchah and Chul Young Choi. 2013 APACRS Annual Meeting: A Global Focus on the Anterior Segment 2013 heralds the advent of an enhanced APACRS annual meeting. Subtitled A Global Focus on the Anterior Segment, the meeting will be the combined effort of the leading anterior segment subspecialty societies around the world. The meeting is designed to access the resources of all of the participating global societies to create an extraordinary program that is well attended by physicians throughout the region. The meeting is organized by APACRS and is co-sponsored by the Asia Cornea Society, the Cornea Society, and ASCRS. Societies invited to participate include: ESCRS, CCS, KSCRS, INASCRS, EU Cornea, and AACGC. Additional societies are being invited to participate as this book goes to press. Expected to draw a record number of attendees, exhibitors will be offered a variety of marketing opportunities, including advertising in the meeting issue of EyeWorld Asia-Pacific, the meeting daily—EyeWorld Asia-Pacific, supplements produced by EyeWorld Asia-Pacific, and satellite symposia with logistical and marketing services offered by EyeWorld Asia-Pacific's meetings and special projects division.
